MEETING RAKITHA'S FATHER

We went exploring today!...Not by accident, but by design, we ran into Sarath--Rakitha's father. He is a trishaw driver. We hope some day Rakitha and his family will accept the Restored Gospel.

Nevil Fernando, a 72-year-old fisherman stopped his bike to visit with us. He wanted us to know that he is a Christian. We wanted to cry when we saw an elderly man pushing his load. It is a hard life here in Sri Lanka! We saw a Hindu Temple...very colorful, and beautiful! We were fascinated with a small “shop” alongside the road. The owner had a display of hand made floral leis. He stood behind his display stringing aromatic blooms. The shops are all so colorful!! We saw women everywhere carrying umbrellas for shade. Stray dogs live on the streets...we see them asleep most of the time...half-dead looking. The one pictured  here has been digging through garbage and has found something to eat.
